To obtain an Aadhaar card, individuals can visit Enrolment Centres, banks, or post offices. If you have previously applied for an Aadhaar card and wish to track its progress, you can conveniently do so online through the official website of UIDAI.
You have the option to update your Aadhaar card details either through online or offline methods. Typically, the updates are processed within 30 days of submitting the request. However, there may be some instances where there are delays. In such cases, you can easily check the status of your Aadhaar card update by following these simple steps:
Step 1:
Go to the UIDAI website at https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/CheckAadhaarStatus
Step 2:
Enter your SRN (Service Request Number) and captcha code
Step 3:
The status of your update request will be displayed on the screen.
1. If you have misplaced your acknowledgement slip or forgotten your enrolment number, don’t worry. You can still check your Aadhaar card status by retrieving your enrolment number. Here’s how you can do it:

3. Choose whether you want to retrieve your Aadhaar number or enrolment number.
4. Enter your name, email address or mobile number, and security code to receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
5. Verify your identity by entering the OTP received.
6. Once verified, your enrolment number or Aadhaar number will be sent to your registered mobile number or email address.
7. You can now use this enrolment number to check the status of your Aadhaar card.

2. Go to the UIDAI website and select “Contact & Support”.
3. Click on “Check Complaint Status” under the Grievance Redressal Mechanism.
4. Enter your 14-digit complaint ID, captcha verification code, and click “Submit” to view the status of your complaint.
To determine whether your Aadhaar card is connected to your bank account, please adhere to the instructions provided below:
1. Access the UIDAI website and select the “My Aadhaar” option.
2. Within the Aadhaar Services section, choose “Bank Seeding Status”.
3. Log in to your account by entering your Aadhaar number, captcha code, and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
4. Click on “Bank Seeding Status” under the Services section to ascertain the status of your Aadhaar bank account linkage.
To determine the status of your Aadhaar biometrics, please adhere to the instructions provided below:
Step 1:
Launch the mAadhaar application on your mobile device, select “My Aadhaar,” and input your 4-digit PIN.
Step 2:
If your Aadhaar biometrics are locked, a red Biometrics Lock icon will be displayed on the screen, preventing you from authenticating using your fingerprints or iris. This red Biometric Lock icon will also be visible when accessing your UIDAI account.
To determine the status of your Aadhaar, whether it is locked or unlocked, please adhere to the instructions provided below:
1. Launch the mAadhaar application on your mobile device and select “My Aadhaar.” Proceed by entering your 4-digit PIN.
2. If your Aadhaar is locked, you will notice the appearance of a red Aadhaar Lock icon. In such cases, you will be required to utilize your Virtual ID (VID) instead of your Aadhaar number for authentication purposes.
