Individuals are required to submit a supporting document to validate their identity or address along with Form 61. Acceptable documents for proof of identity or address include:
Ensure that the submitted document is valid, current, and corresponds to the details provided in Form 61.
Register for an Income Tax Department Reporting Entity Identification Number (ITDREIN) on the e-filing portal: https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.
Use the same credentials you used when filing for the Income Tax Return.
Click on the ‘Reporting Portal’ link under the ‘My Account’ tab for the first-time registration.
Enter the required information such as the form type, category, and address of the reporting person.
Provide details of the Principal Officer.
After submission, the ITDREIN will be automatically generated.
The Principal Officer will receive notification via email at their registered email address and an SMS on the registered mobile number.
