4. It is not possible for an enterprise to apply for multiple MSME registrations as all its activities are encompassed within the Udyam registration certificate.

5. In order to avail loans from banks and take advantage of various schemes offered to MSMEs, it is essential to possess a Udyam registration certificate.

6. The Udyam registration certificate serves as proof that an enterprise falls under the MSME category.

Udyam Registration Processing Time and Fees

The Udyam Registration Certificate will be issued within two to four business days on the registered email ID of the applicant. There is no cost for MSME registration on the Udyam Registration Portal, and it is free of cost.

Bank loans become more affordable with MSME Registration India due to low interest rates of around 1-1.5%.
The registration allows for the carry forward of credit for minimum alternate tax (MAT) for up to 15 years instead of 10 years.

How to Apply for a Udyam Registration Certificate?

Access the Udyam registration portal.
On the homepage, select the option ‘For new entrepreneurs who have not yet registered as MSME or those with EM-II’.
Provide the ‘Aadhaar Number’ and ‘Name of Entrepreneur’ and click on the ‘Validate & Generate OTP’ button. Validate the OTP received on the Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Enter the ‘Type of Organisation’, ‘PAN’ and click on the ‘Validate’ button.
Fill in the required details on the ‘Udyam Registration’ form and click on ‘Submit and Get Final OTP’. Enter the received OTP and submit the form.
The Udyam registration certificate will be sent to the entrepreneurs via email.

Print Udyam Registration Certificate

To obtain a printout of the Udyam registration certificate, entrepreneurs can follow the below steps:
1. Go to the Udyam registration portal.

2. Click on the ‘Print/Verify’ option and select ‘Print Udyam Certificate’.

3. Provide the ‘Udyam Registration Number’, ‘Mobile’ and select the OTP option. Then, click on the ‘Validate & Generate OTP’ button.

4. Enter the OTP received on the mobile/email and click on the ‘Validate OTP and Login’ button.

5. Once logged in, entrepreneurs can take a printout of the Udyam registration certificate.

Udyam Registration Certificate Verification

To verify their Udyam registration number, entrepreneurs should first go to the Udyam registration portal.
Next, they need to select the ‘Print/Verify’ option and then choose the ‘Verify Udyam Registration Number’ option.
In the verification process, entrepreneurs should enter their ‘Udyam Registration/Reference Number’, input the captcha code, and finally click on the ‘Verify’ button.

Udyam Registration Certificate Renewal

The Udyam registration certificate is a crucial document for MSME entrepreneurs to avail the benefits offered to MSMEs.
The Ministry of MSME issues the Udyam registration certificate to enterprises falling under the MSME category.
After completing the MSME registration process, the Ministry of MSME provides an e-certificate instead of a hard copy.
Entrepreneurs can obtain a physical copy of the Udyam registration certificate by printing it from the Udyam registration portal.
